On Monday 19th May 2003, the Mayor held a reception at the Northampton Guildhall for some of the Town's top citizens, in
connection with the Mayoral Awards Scheme.

Representatives of the Duston German Shepherd Dog Training Club were invited. ( l to r) Eddie Chapman, Stephanie
Pretrusevicius and Marlene McInulty, attended the reception on behalf of the Club to receive the Mayor's award, in
recognition of the outstanding service to the Community for Animal Welfare and Charities. This included raising
money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The club was presented with a plaque and also a locally made pottery dish suitably inscribed with details of the award.
These are on display at the Dog Training Club at Duston Village Hall on Tuesday evenings.
