The Duston German Shepherd Dog Training Club (DGSDTC) was formed in 1984. The Club is open to all owners of pedigree German Shepherd Dogs, although we do accept GSDs without pedigree papers e.g. dogs that have been re-homed, rescued etc. We have qualified and experienced instructors who will do their best to help you and your dog. Our aim is to train you to train your dog to be obedient; the level of obedience is entirely up to you. Please see our training page for more details. Many of our members come along initially with their dog wanting no more than a dog who will walk alongside them when out, without pulling and always tugging at the lead, and to return when called. We have all admired the well-behaved dog in the street, walking nicely by the handler's side. This does take a lot of hard work and patience. Members who accomplish an advanced standard of training with their dogs, have the opportunity to join the Pacesetters Dog Display Team |
